ZenCastr: Super Easy Multi-Track Podcast Recording

Here’s a new tool I love for recording podcasts: Zencastr.

Zencastr takes the pain out of you and your guest recording separate audio tracks for your podcast. With Zencastr, it’s as easy as:

  1. Start a Skype / Hangout call with your guest
  2. Send your guest a link to your Zencastr project
  3. Hit record
  4. Get high-quality, separate track recordings of each person’s audio to use for your episode’s production

Listen, I love tools like Skype Call Recorder and Audacity β€” but the problem is having your guest install and configure something. With Zencastr, it’s as easy as sending them a link and you clicking record. It’s that simple.

Here’s a quick video I recorded of how to use Zencastr:

I write a high-quality, daily newsletter about marketing, growth, and lead generation for indie consultants, freelancers, and service professionals.

  1. Hey Kai, Thanks so much for sharing your demo of the service! A lot has changed since the video was made. Now you can do the VoIP call directly in Zencastr, text chat with guest, and record in WAV. Let me know if you have any suggestions on how it could be better.
